2 experiences

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I lived there for 2 years in 2 different buildings.
1) the introductory rate is only valid for one year (which is why I moved to another unit after one year) but if you're aware of that before you move in, no big deal. It's easy to move in the building next door and they lend you a dolley. The rent was really good compared to other places around UCSD, and the rooms are really spacious.
2) noise: no problem in my first apt. In the second one, there was a neighbor close by who kept on playing his music REAL loud (my bed would vibrate and we weren't sharing any walls at all). A few other neighbors filed noise complaints. It was towards the end of my lease and I was moving out so I didn't really care so much.
3) parking: guest parking sucks big time. I never got towed or ticketed. In the second apt, we were told we would get 3 spots with a 3 bedroom unit when we signed the lease. However, we later found out that's only true for North and we lived in South (2 parking spots for 3 rooms). They gave us the 3rd spot after we asked to contact the manager, so no problems there.
4) car breaking in. My car never really got broken in. Once, I forgot to lock the doors and a few things were gone, but I had nothing of value in the car. But hey, unlocked car, what do you expect.
5) the yoga class is awesome (and free)!
6) Maintenance was very prompt.
