Unbiased yet Truthful

I have mixed feelings about this apartment complex. First let me address parking. The parking structure is tight and difficult for larger vehicles, there is never enough street parking nor guest parking spaces. Also people are always parking in the red fire lanes down the narrow street to your parking garage making it difficult to navigate through. Just goes to show you there is nowhere else to park.
Noise is an issue too. The walls and ceilings are extremely poorly insultated when I can hear voices clearly and toilets flushing. You will have to hope for fortunate placement in a building where you have as few of neighbors as possible.
Grounds, there isnt much grounds to see, its mostly grass and the pool and spa are nothing spectacular. The hallways are lined with a hideous aged and damaged carpet that looks like it belongs in an old casino. Wall paper is peeling in various areas through the hallways (probably bc its exposed to the outdoors).
The apartments are relatively safe yet there is no doorbell for any of the units. An overlooked detail that would be very useful.
Construction... the cabinetry in our unit is suppose to be an upgrade, but the shelves due to poor quality of material are already sagging from previous tenants having used them to store their canned goods (the expected usage). Upkeep is marginal at best when it comes to carpetry but the rest of the complex seems to be fairly well maintained. However signage thats been tampered with by tenants has failed to be replaced or fixed.
Maintenance...always a hassle to schedule because it is all done online and if you have multiple issues be prepared to submit each one individually. The process is somewhat of a pain. then they only show up within a couple days unless its an emergency. If its a toilet issue thats not an emergency apparently if you have a second bathroom.
Staff is not professional and often conduct themselves as if they're not at work. It appears to be a very lax working environment. Probably explains all the problems with our move-in, given wrong move-in date, wrong keys to pool etc...
Overall, for the prices you pay, I would find somewhere else. Neighbors here a very inconsiderate (toss trash down on your balcony, have audible sex when kids live in this complex too and vandalize areas of the property) and management seems to have no control nor any intervention in the matter. I would avoid this complex if you can, because it is way overpriced, even considering I negotiated for a cheaper rent saving almost $300 a month off rent. Good luck in your search..... somewhere else
