Unprofessional and Inefficient Manager (Ginger)

Ginger has not been upfront since we moved into this apartment complex. Prior to moving in, she said that the unit will be ready in X amount of days and that we have to move in rightafter because our rent starts after all of the maintenance is completed. However, the day of moving came and we loaded all of our property from our old residence and discovered that the Deerwood apartment unit is not ready. The refrigerator was broken, the patio was dirty, kitchen cabinets were dirty, the oven was broken, etc. As a result, we had to move in anyway while their maintenance folks fix these problems concurrently.
This week (June 4-8, 2007), they scheduled a power wash for all the buildings. This process requires all residents to remove all personal property out of the patio and front entry way to prevent damage. They claimed that they had left a note at the door on Monday, June 4, 2007 for all residents. However, I did not see such a note, same with my neighbor. Needless to say, my wife was surprised to hear water coming into my son's bedroom (he leaves his window open a little bit for ventilation). She called the office to find out what was going on. Instead of an explanation, Ginger was confrontational and insisted that they have left a note for all residents to comply. Granted that there was a note on the door, there is also a posibility that it may have been blown away or something. Either way, Ginger should have been understanding to the customer's needs and just gave a clear explanation of what needs to be done. In addition, I feel that three days notice is not enough given that her office has ample time to schedule the wash with the contractors well ahead of time. She has a very poor customer relations and it flows down to her staff. Her management skills is not up to par.
I would look for a new place or maybe buy a home instead of dealing with her.

I got the same situation when we moved, not exactly the refrigerator, but several in-house things broken and that was weekend and no immediate service - kind of hell to recall those start days. We paid all inadvance including rent- deposite but no advance services at least to new comers- how sad this is
