Not as good as it looks

I lived there for one year and I am completely unsatisfied. I had to move out and no more apartments for me. When I first went to view the place the whole Tierrasanta area is wonderful and the complex is very well maintained. But for the price I paid the small annoyances were to much. Parking is bad, the space given is made for a very small compact car. Anything bigger and you risk hitting the other car or being hit by the other car. Just walk through the parking lot and you can see for yourself. Also you only get one spot no matter how many rooms you rent and there is no real extra parking . I don't consider walking ten minutes to the end of the parking lot where the open parking is a viable parking place. Also they have no real system for assigning parking. I had my spot given away twice and at first I was given someone elses. The security gate is another concern, that was one of the things I considered when looking for a place. After living there for a week, i noticed the main gate to the parking lot was broken and remained broken for two weeks. The walk in gate that was near my apartment was broken for three whole months straight. It was noticeable from the street since the would not close. I also noticed that the other walk in gate next to the mail box area is always broken. they fix it but in a matter of days it's broken again. The day I moved out it and the main gate were broken. After getting a notice from the management that their have being a couple of assaults in the work out gym by a none resident. I knew it was time to move. Along with the fact that my car was almost stolen, my alarm save my car. Also the 800 dollars in damage to my wife's car, it was time to go. One thing about the apartment it self, I have no complaints other that the floors it seems are pretty thin. I had complaints that I "walk too hard on the floor and jump too much". I don't jump around the apartment and I only weight 155. So if you insist on living here get a second floor room. Also they do the grounds maintaince on Sunday morning. My advice renter beware, "looks will be deceiving."
