They say welcome home. Yea, welcome to a nightmare!
Parking sucks!! They say they have security patrol. What happened the two nights my husbands motorcycles got stolens and they were both locked up. neighbors play loud music til late in the night and management doesn't do anything. The jacuzzi is always dirty. The water pipe always breaks so we don't have water all day some days. I called for someone to fix my toilet and it took them two weeks to respond. I had to go to management to get someone out to my apartment to fix a running toilet. We have lived here for 6 months and we are talking with a lawyer on how to get out of a lease early. This place is a nightmare!!! Watch out for the little filipino lady in the management office SHE's A -----!!!

I feel your pain - we lived there for almost 3 years and it was a nightmare the entire time. Hope the lawyer can help you get out of the lease. No one deserves that type of stress, especially when you call it home.

I definitely agree! We lived here for 1.5 years and it's been stressful. We had our car vandalized and "manager" Boyle told us to MOVE apts to get another spot! "security" is a 65 year old man driving through the parking lot. Wow, I feel safe. It took 3 weeks to get a new light bulb for our kitchen. We couldn't change it cuz it used a special bulb. I was not about to spend my own money on it. They claim that we can't have hangers on our balcony!! They're just hanging on a clothes rack for our jackets and coats since we have no room in these small spaces!! Also I have chicken wire up neatly tied against the balcony railing to protect our kids. Apparently, that's violating community policy. But I've had that up since we moved here and 16 months later, they complain about it. Plus, there is NOTHING in the lease that pertains to what we are allowed on our balcony. We pay $1400/mth for this place and I think hanging hangers on a clothes rack in the corner of my balcony is my business. It's ridiculous. The sidewalks are filthy with dog urine. They never spray the sidewalks down. I agree that the filipino woman and the "manager" are all worthless. Seriously, we're moving after the lease is up. I had friends that moved down to Mission Valley area which is more expensive but worth it. Management at Esplanade is a joke. They have a little authority and have a power trip. It doesn't take a genius or a Ph.d to be a manager. A lot of the residents here are graduate students and career professionals. We know what's going on. She thinks she's better than ppl and can harrass the residents with ridiculous issues. If she's bored and has nothing better to do, then I suggest her to clean this place up and do something that is actual worthwhile and not so meaningless!!
