Gables Point Loma is Worst than a Car Dealership!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/30/2007 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007   Do you remember how it use to be buying a car. All the lies deceit and false promises'' Just trying to get you to sign a contract or lease, well that is what happened to me. I have spoken to a couple of other neighbors here that just moved in and they feel the same way. As a matter of fact I have meet two seperate neighbors on my floor that are moving because of all the problems here. Let me list them for you; front entrance closed for over 3 weeks no notice given, turn on my shower every morning or night and brown water comes out, locks on front doors are very hard to open and the doors rattle unless you put something like a chair against to stop, about a 1-2 inch space bottom of front door resulting in smells coming into my apartment from othe apartments and of course any hallway noise, bath tubs and tile in showers peeling of paint, fake wood floors buckling, apartment shakes when neighbors walk in there apartments, new palm trees obstructing several parking spaces, workers taking up several others, work trucks blocking in resident cars, damage done to cars by workers, theft in storage lockers and cars, water being turned off almost every other day with out any notice, brand new windows completely dirty and screens covered with film of dust and dirt and managers refuse to clean them, disgusting elevator and laundry room, closet doors very heavy and hard to ope not to mention rollers keep breaking coming off the track and quit frankly all the new rennovations are done very cheap! One of my neighbors said the rent before was only about a $1000 with nice and courteous management and month to month option, 6 month lease or 12 month lease. Now the rent is $1700 month to month or $1500 on a 13 or 18 month lease. Well do the math if you find yourself in my situation, totally regreting moving in and wanting to leave you have to pay a one month penalty. That means if I lived here 8 months it would be a wash on the lease discount rent. There is no way in God's green earth I am living here any longer than the next 30-45 days. I am leaving this place even paying the penalty. Hence I feel like I just drove off a old fashion car deallership lot and got taken!!!! Yes I am very upset, but more importantly I don't want anyone else to have to go through what me and my neighbors are going through... Just think they have 3 more buildings to due estimated at 1-2 years of this nonsense. I am seeing more people move out than in. So don't let the one month free rent fool you into a lease that will bury you into staying somewhere your miserable or cost you an armor leg to get out of!
