Fine if you are persistent and self-motivated

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
PROS:
*location
*laundry in unit
*square footage
*closet space
*kitchen cabinet space
*price
CONS:
*it can be noisy since the location is on a major street. it's tempting to keep the french doors closed, but it gets too hot so bugs end up flying in. and the busy street also contributes to constant dirt and dust; you'll be dusting and vacuuming every other day.
*laundry loads have to be small (like three pairs of pants), and the dryer takes over an hour to dry so you end up spending your entire weekend washing clothes.
*the overall condition isn't great: push-pin holes, scuff marks, rust, etc.
*the parking stalls are narrow; you have to manouver your way out of your car as to not hit the neighboring vehical.
*management gets bothered very easily, but, if you're persistent, things eventually get attended to. be prepared to self-initiate your 30-day notice, initial inspection and check-out. BUT THANKS TO IT, I RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT IN FULL MINUS THE CARPET CLEANING.
*maintenance does fix things, however they don't clean up after themselves and damage personal property surrounding the area on which they were working.
MISC.
*I never really heard my surrounding neighbors.
*There was one vehical break-in in the parking lot during the time I lived there.
*I can't comment on the pool nor the fitness center since I never used them.
If you're self-motivated to make your place look like home, and you're very tolerant, you should be fine.
