I hate to talk bad about the complex since it is so nice and in a great area. However, In the past three months I have had three very expensive bikes stolen and my car broken in to. My nieghboor had his motorcycle stolen and his car broken into. Yet the complex will tell you that there is no crime what so ever because of the locked garage and there roving security. Don't let that fool you. Its a great apartment. Just dont drive a motorcycle or a nice car and keep your bike inside the complex.

It is true. My fried's car was broken in too on March, 2006. Police told me that 3 cars were broken in at the same time...Leasing office told us that the security will come more offeten, but the summit security is always just drive through, not really watching (when we fix our car in a garage, he did not ask us anything, just drive by). It seems mostly old car were broken in, so if you live in here, get the car alarm.

I've lived in utc area for 3 years and at la jolla palms for 1 and car break ins happedn at all utc apartment complexes. I always feel safe in the garage and walking to my apartment. It is very quiet here and not a lot of noisy parties.
