Another Travel Nurse........

Sorry, but I have to be honest. As a travel nurse, I would not live again at La Mirage. I have a 1/1 loft style apt, which is okay. Fortunately, I have never had the maintenance problems that others have had. The grounds are well kept and attractive. And I do have an assigned parking space, although I have had the experience of a very large vehicle visiting someone parked next to me, and I couldn't fit in my own space!! It is a convenient location, near shopping and the hospitals (easy to take the back roads and avoid the freeways). On the negative side, it is a complex that is full of young, "it's all about me" people. I haven't for the life of me figured out how they afford the rents here, as I have noticed very few that actually appear to work. Loud voices and speeding cars at all hours of the night are quite common. If you are young and enjoy constant parties and living in a "meat market", then you will really like this complex. Amenities are great if you fit in with the beautiful beach crowd. However, if you work for a living, enjoy some peace and quiet, and don't want to feel like a senior citizen if you are over 30, then this is not the place. To all future travelers, you might want to consider taking the stipend and find your own place. I would certainly do this next time instead of using this facility for company paid housing.
