This place will bleed you dry. Your rent is raised every year, even in this economy (while other landlords are actually reducing rent to keep their tenants). Whatever they say your rent will be, tack on another $75 for your water bill. Security deposit...consider it gone. Even if you keep your place immaculate, they will make excuses to take your money. The grounds are nice, but I hope you are prepared to bend over to live here!
I'm not trying to make light of the situation, but someone in the 6500-block of Reflection Dr was actually raped as the victim of a home invasion on 4/29. Crime at La Mirage is skyrocketing. Every person I knew at La Mirage has had their car broken into and in one case, their motorcycle stolen...and where might the security patrol have been, you know, the guys who used to patrol the complex' See for yourself at http://www.arjis.org Crime Maps.
Maintenance department' You mind as well go to Home Depot and hire an immigrant to help you out! It will be much less of a hassle and they'll do much better work.

I admit, I was not so happy about a rape happening so close to home. HOWEVER, this is thought to be the work of a serial rapist who has been raping women all over San Diego. He targets asian women, police think that he follows them home from the store. This man has struck in Carmel Valley, UCSD, Montezuma Dr. near SDSU and Tierrasanta. The lesson here is that no matter where you live you must ALWAYS be vigilant. YOU are responsible for your security. I am from Reno, NV and just last year a woman named --------------- was raped and killed by a serial rapist as she slept in a friends apartment when OTHERS WERE HOME!!! These creeps are out there, carry pepper spray, lock your doors and always be aware of your surroundings.
