For the same price, you could live in a nice apartment downtown or by the beach.

It seems fairly nice at first, but the apartments are nothing special and parking is guaranteed to be at least 1/2 mile from your place. Guest parking is worse here than in Mission Beach on a summer weekend. The pool and gym amenities are nice, but the entire complex has a frat house feel. It seems like it was designed for people who didn't go to college but wanted to join a frat. The complex is far from everywhere you might want to be. It's not close to shopping, bars, restaurants, or anything.

La Mirage, however might be for you if any of the following statements sound like your style:

1. I don't throw up in my mouth at the sight of a girl on a billboard saying "Be Scene"
2. I like to walk 1/2 mile from my designated parking space to my apartment
3. I take joy in forcing my guests to walk two miles from the nearest street parking to my apartment
4. I enjoy living in giant complexes where everything looks the same foe miles.
5. I'm really looking to extend my frat house experience for a few years after college.
6. When I say I'm a non-smoker, that really means I want you to give me a smoker's old apartment and refuse to do anything about it no matter how politely I ask.
7. When I go to the gym, I put on the same amount of makeup I would wear to a club.
8. I am a skank
9. I like to live far away from nightlife, restaurants, and everything else. La Mirage is all I need to have a social life.
