Yikes

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I've been living here since June 2005. I have to agree with every review so far; the locations is GREAT but that's about it. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors get it on. From your bedroom....all night long. It's sick. My apartment is adjacent to the park, which is lovely, except that every morning I wake up to leaf blowers, chain saws and mowers. The applicances are old, the carpets are dingy, and security is non-existant. For the price you pay, you think they could at least update the cabintry. The cabinets are so old and outdated, the cardboard they use has been expanding at the edges...it looks like someone dipped one end in water and let it grow...don't even get me started on the black mold problem here, even with adequate ventilation, it still persists. Also, if you ever require maintenance, well...good luck. I had to complain for 1 month to replace a cutting board covered in black mold! I wrote a complaint letter to the corporate office and got a curt response from the management saying that they do everything in the power to keep up with maintenance and that's it, no apology, nothing. Every time I've had an issue since then, I just fix it myself....it's worth the extra time and money so as to not deal with the maintenance staff. (For the record, as of yet I have NOT had any problems with the office staff; they have been curtious and helpful, but have no power over maintenance)For the money that you pay ($1300 and up for a 1 bd!), it's not worth the pain. Look elsewhere
