My time at Legacy was OK, but definitley not great, and I have had to most problems with this apartment complex than any other. The apartments are pretty expensive and we only decided to rent one because we got a huge discount. I had MY car towed from inside the gate in the middle of the night. The sticker in my dash had fallen off and that was reason alone to tow. Other complexes I've lived at have kept a list of license plate #'s to double check whether the car in question is illegaly parked or not. When I went to complain, I was told rather rudely that there was nothing they could do, and that the towing company just takes whichever car they see without the sticker. 200 dollars later I got my car back from being towed at my own residence (what a waste). My roommate had her car broken into right out front of the complex despite "security" which was an old man who would walk around part of the night and fall asleep on the benches the rest.
We also got multiple noise complaints although it was rare that more than one person would be home, we are not noisy and did not have any partys.
There are also some bratty teenagers or someone who egged our door and on the hallway door a cup of urine was placed so that whoever opened it next would get hit. These issues were brought up to management who didn't care.
You can press your luck if you want, but maybe only if you get a really good discount, cause it's way too expensive for Mira Mesa and for what you get.
