I actually like the apartment itself. I live on the 3rd floor and adore the vaulted ceilings. The floorplan is good, the closets are great, and I don't watch TV so I can't complain about the weird cable situation. I find the double-glazed windows adequately insulate from the freeway noise.

HOWEVER, we were lied to about the amenities of the apartment, told it had different features than it had (it had less), told we would have an extra numbered parking spot (we did not), and were told there was no way we could inspect the unit before moving in, so this was all a horrible suprise. The garage was trashed and filthy at move-in, the carpet was completely torn up with BARE NAILS sticking out in the transition from kitchen to carpet, and we were told "I don't understand what the problem is." My bleeding foot was the problem!

The office staff are unhelpful to the point of my wondering if they are mentally impaired. When we went to renew our lease the girl there (who barely responds other than in grunts and mumbles) actually printed out a contract with a huge white stripe down the middle from the printer being out of ink, I'd say 75% of the text was obscured. And was rude when I refused to sign it! And they wouldn't be getting an ink cartridge in for a week! How do they run a business like this!'

Unfortunately I need to live here another year, but I do not reccomend anyone who does not enjoy dealing with complete incompetency move here.
