I waited a few months after moving out before I sat down to write this review. I was angry when my boyfriend and I moved out, I thought we were treated very unfair.. Mainly that he as treated unfair...
He moved in Loma Palisades back in April of 2007 and we paid close attention to their Military Clause, or so we thought. We knew that he would be leaving (possibly) before the end of his lease.. I was only in town for two weeks out of the month, so no need for to keep the place. ANyway.. When we moved in Wendy was amazing and I have to say that throughout our ENTIRE stay she always tried to help no matter the situation.
Yes we small issues with our place, but it was always fixed the same day.. I think I even called once at 2 in the morning. Parking is an absolute nightmare, but we were warned BEFORE we moved in so we rented parking with out townhouse. There was always at least one or two pools open. I saw a few closed due to them needed to be serviced, but that was only once or twice. The neighborhood in general is loud, but it is one of the most affordable places and the townhouse is beautiful inside. I happened to live next to two awesome people on the sides.. one mean nasty lady with her two barking dogs in the back and some college kids around. They were loud but nothing to keep me awake at night.
As far as their pet policy, I think it's awesome.. I guess there's dog poo around.. but it's not like everywhere you step.
There were no weird charges on our monthly rent. We were warned that there would be a water and trash charge added after we were there for about 6 weeks and that it would change..
My car did get broken into once.. but the person left his keys and his cell phone in our car. So that did eventually get wrapped up.
The only negative thing I have to say about LP is that they do not honor our Service Men and Women. Their Military Clause is -------- and they refused to honor it when my boyfriend's ship was deployed. We got a notarized document.. a letter from Jag Lawyers.. emails from the CO and Loma Palisades refused to accept any of them. They wanted the actual orders.. and well, you don't get orders when your ship deploys. (I'm pretty sure it's illegal for them to copy your orders in the first place)
Wendy and the lasy that sits next to her really tried to help us.. the bad part was AMY. SHe was absolutely rude and devious about teh entire situation. We had to pay so much money to break the lease.. and had to pay it THAT DAY or get charged an extra $1540.. the whole thing just sucked.. Amy is a great example of someone that should not be in management. SHe can't hold her temper and treats others poorly.
ANyway.. we had our carpets cleaned and professionally cleaned and I fixed teh screen on our sliding door and we were treated fair about move out costs. We did have two dogs and I know there were a few times when they peed by the back door.. so we had to replace teh downstairs carpet, but it wasn't overcharged at all.
Due to our experiences with Amy.. I would say to stay clear of Loma Palisades. Military should absolutely go somewhere else!
oh, and I don't we had termites.

Yes it really is that bad, ask your neighbors before you move in, try to gt ahold of Kim and ask abou their move out policy as in how many times have people gotten their deposits back and have them put that in writing.

It's far from a horrible place to live, but you will notice that they do a lot of covering up stuff instead of spending the money and actually fixing it right. If you have more than one car in the family good luck trying to find parking. Oh yeah, when it's the rainy season your ceiling will get all moldy. And of course they just paint over the mold. Other than that the dog policy is pretty nice.

Oh my god do not move here, when i moved in I thought it was so cool because of the dog policy but thats about the only thing, Ive had my clothes stolen from the laundry room , one of my tires slashed, the front of my hood scratched with a key and honestly I think it was my crazy neighbor because weve had to complain about her not cleaning her patio, which is full of dog ---- and pee from her dog, and in the summer since she never cleans or picks up the ---- the smell comes into my living room and i have no choice but to keep the door closed and roast to death. And if thats not enough the parking is HORRIBLE!!! and if you have a problem or complaint the office will do absolutely nothing to fix it , it took me 6 months to get the office to come fix a leak in the ceiling and by the time they fixed it it was moldy and making me cough from the mold i was inhaling every night oh and did I forget to mention that we,and by we I mean random cars of people that live here, regularly we get car windows broken for no apparent reason and also weve had paint thrown on cars as well , I hope this helps I'm looking to move out soon.

I have lived here for 18 months. I do have a reserved parking spot that is about 1/2 block away but I have never had any damage to my car. Any time I have had a request the office has been great. On Sunday afternoon I went to the office because I noticed a leak in the refrigerator, They were going to send maintenance up on Sunday but I told them it could wait. The guy came Monday at 9AM. I think the staff is great.

I moved in here after hearing everything and comparing the prices. It's not so bad.. There is the plane noise (which if you spent time here signing your lease you know), the lady that lives behind me is pretty terrible at taking care and her dogs bark all night long. THere are a bunch of younger people a few townhouse behind me and down and they are pretty noisy in the weekends, but they're young and I just close my windows.
As far as the other complaints on the place, I haven't experienced anything too bad that would make me want to move out. I have a parking space that isn't far from my townhouse... the office staff is pretty awesome as far I am concerned. I haven't had any major issues as far as stuff breaking down. There wasn't new carpet when I moved in so it's kinda blah, but geez... it's only carpet.
We're a pretty young family and I have lives in more upscale places, but I don't mind it here. And I don't have anything to say about the move out stuff because I am still here..
The one thing taht kinda sucked when I moved in was trying to shove a queen size boxspring up the stairs into the master bedroom.. Which I have to say that the night manager came over and helped us.. then gave us a decent amount of touch up paint to repair teh scrathes we made along the wall (and we kept enough to help when we move out too).
