We have lived in Loma Palisades for over a year now, and have had good and bad experiences.

Good Experiences:
We moved into a fully rentivated 2bed/1bath apartment with all new applances, cabinets and carpet. The apartment was in the middle of our price range, and it is located directly in the middle of mine and my husbands commute to work. There are two pools with in walking distance of our apartment. We have a garage (which is located in a different building, but we have one)

Bad Experiences:
You never really know how much you are going to be paying in rent. They add on $50 for water and garbage each month, and your bill is sent to you from somewhere in Texas so it might not arrive by the first, when rent is due. We paid our rent one month on the 31st which was a Thursday and the 1st fell on a Friday. On the 4th we were served with a 3-Day pay or quit and checked our accounts to find out that they had cashed the check on the 2nd. We went down to the office with a copy of the cancelled check and were told that the computer hadn't told them our check had cashed yet. (Why don't you wait until the you get a response about the check to post a 3-Day pay or quit notice') The staff said that we would be charged the late fee and I said yeah or any other fee because I have proof you cashed the check. Also you should know that they will not call you to tell you something is wrong. We had an instance where the rent check was written out incorrectly (left off the word one hundred) and they left us a note on the door that a new check needed to be written. We got the note on the fourth and were charged a late rent fee. The shower has backed up twice and the maintenance people are the only good part. They are fast to answer the call and very helpful at fixing the problem. The planes are an issue as well but to be honest, I hardly notice them anymore. But they do fly from 6:00am to 12am every day. Frankly I find myself talking louder or turning up the tv when they go by. But after being here a year, my brain just ignores them. Parking can be a problem. We have a garage, so we have two spots (one inside and one outside) but street parking is an issue, and trying to find a spot after 7pm is difficult most nights.

I know the price is low but I would seriously look for somewhere else to rent.

I agree with you completely!! THis place is the worst place!! Don't ever rent here if you can help it!! I would practically live better under a bridge than there! It sucked!
