UPDATE - We have been moved out of this hell hole since December - and they are still F-ing with us! They are horrible!!! They work overtime to ruin your life! They are now reporting negative credit on our reports, and sending us to collections. WE DON'T OWE THEM A DIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT MOVE IN THIS PLACE!!!! CREDIT IS A BIG PART OF YOUR LIFE, AND THEY WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO RUIN IT! WE HAVE HIRED AN ATTORNEY, AND ARE GOING TO FIGHT THEM, BUT MEANWHILE - THEY HAVE STILL BEEN ABLE TO PUT A NEGATIVE RATING ON OUR REPORT! DON'T FALL FOR THEIR "MOVE-IN" SPECIALS! PLEASE DON'T RENT FROM THIS PLACE!
Amy is a HORRIBLE person. She is not only extremely unattrative and balding - but she is the rudest, foulest excuse for a human being that I've ever seen.
This place is awful. DO NOT RENT HERE! The pool is always closed during summer, the laundry facilities are always broken - and management is constantly harassing you.
Amy - I hope you read this - you deserve to not only lose the rest of your hair - but lose your job as well! gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

This person is so mean spirited and wrong that it is really ridiculous. Amy helped us lease our apartment and she has never been anything but sweet, frendly, and helpful to my family. We love our apartment, and have never had any problems with termites, maintenance, or anyone in the leasing office.

In response to Anon, 12/6/2007:
While I agree that the ad hominem attack by the originating poster on manager Amy was unnecessary, I can confirm everything else that the poster wrote. Issues ranging from parking to maintenance to laundry to the general apathetic and Kafka-esque nature of management permeate the living experience at Palisades. If by luck or the grace of God you really do love this place, more power to you.

Amy was nice when I moved in and if it wasn't for the location I would renew my lease. personal attacks have an adverse effect to the type of person you are. I dont take anything that you wrote seriously.

OMG!!! They screwed with my credit as well, I moved out of this hell hole last August 07,and they sent my account to collections eventhough I didnt owe them a dime plus they kept my dep. I just want to cry sometimes because they made me feel so powerless against them. they were the worst management!!It took them about six months to fix a moldy wall that was giving me allergies, I almost reported them to the Health dep.I also had hookers and druggies as neighbors(had to call cops a couple times). The hookers clients constantly knocked at my door and they made the loudest noises and moans when doing bussiness and the druggies to my other side were constantly urinating in the front yard so wasted that they didnt bother to hide their private parts and I have a thirteen year old daughter, I HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE!!!and did I mention my laundry was also being stolen, and if I complained about my neighbors to the office they would either say well have you tried calling the cops or the next day my car would misteriously be all scratched.AND PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED BY THESE GOOD REVIEWS OF AMY!!!!!!
SHE IS THE WORST OF THEM SHE SMILES BIG BUT SHE IS SOOO GOOD AT LYING TO YOU TO GET YOU IN TO THE APARTMENT BTU LATER IF YOU NEED HELP YOU ARE ON UR OWN AND SHE COULDNT GIVE A D@*M THAT COMPANY ONLY CARES IF YOU PAY THE RENT, CUZ IF YOUR EVEN A DAY LATE THEIR AT UR DOOR WITH A NOTICE TO PAY OR LEAVE.SO EVERYONE PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!

First off, Amy is a lying *unt.
Before I get into that, let's get some things clear. THe flight pattern over your head is 6:30am to 10:30pm. Legal, legit. You can't blame the complex. You can look this up, and the "locals" (i.e. my friends laughed) were shocked that I didn'yt know this.
So why bring this up? Amy said "oh, by the way, the broken windows in the office are 'stress fractures' from the planes". So let me get this straight.
After signing everything and doing the walk-in inspection (take pictures and go over every inch, people!!!!) she drops the bomb that not only am I under a flight pattern (starts at 9am, LIE LIE LIE) but they won't give me new windows in the office, because the cracks are stress fractures. LIE, LIE, LIE. I talked to the window people that fixed my kitchen and bathroom window, and when I brought up the "stress fracture theory" they laughed their ass off and welcomed me to the Palisades. And said "you got ----ed by Amy". A scary proposition, even if you shaved her.
Move in day was sweet, as the giant pool of oil in my paid parking spot was met with resistance. According to Amy, I should not complain about tracking this oil into the apartment because "this is typical of what you walk through". I drove all over, and there were two other oil spots. Out of 500 apartments. Residents, not a new guy moving in.
Look. THe apartments are sweet, and you WILL replace all the carpets. You will move out owing more than your deposit. But it's worth it. Avoid the sasquatch name Amy, keep your pad in good shape, and realize that obnoxious drunks are a part of San Diego, but they are really non-existent here. If you can't afford a real house, then these apts. are for you. Just don't take any ---- from the management. hey lied to me so much at this point, ---- em. Enjoy a nice apartment. You'll get used to the planes.
