DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

My sister and I moved into LP last fall and paid the standard security deposit, etc. After about 2 weeks, our carpets started showing very large mystery stains and so I shampooed the rugs and enforced a strict 'no shoes' policy, only to have the same stains reappear within a month. I shampooed the rugs 3 times in the year I leased the apartment and still after moving out, cleaning the place from top to bottom and also patching and touching up the walls (with paint supplied by the office) I am being charged $1500 for repairs - cleaning, 6 hours of 'repainting' and the replacement of supposed new carpet which apparently we "destroyed." Of course, they are threatening our credit reports if we don't pay the full amount within 10 days of sending a letter which they mailed to our old address! After it went through the forwarding process we are now left with 3 days to respond.

During the time we lived there, multiple neighbors' cars were broken into and immediately after we left I learned of a burglary in the home next door to my rental! There is constant noise from drunk college kids or from planes flying overhead and you can forget about parking!!

I had the same problem when I moved out - they charged me $1400 in fees. They claimed that they had to replace the entire carpeting...the carpet was fine, I only lived there for one year. I've read so many complaints similar to ours that I think we should start a class action lawsuit against Loma Palisades. What do you think?
