RUN!!!!! That is the best thing I can tell you about this place. Our neighbor had a leaking bath tub and it soaked our living room wall and created mold. It took about a month for them to even come and look at it.
Parking is ridiculous around here, especially after 5 p.m. on weekdays or on the weekend. At least 2-3 times a week there is either something getting vandalized or stolen around here. Then there are the great neighbors who like to party or play loud music all hours of the night.
The laundry facilities never work right, then you have to pay for water and trash. We had a stray dog living behind the washing machines for 3 weeks, I called the office on a daily basis with no results. Nothing like dog poop or urine in the laundry room to appreciate the amenities.
There are always police helicopters flying around passing out information over the loud speaker about an armed robbery suspect that is loose in the area. Like I said do yourself a favor and stay clear of this hell hole with a fancy name.

Dear Defenseman13,
artgurl17 is right about much of her comments. 1) Calling to have someone fix your "issues with the water" is understood but few people know their legal rights. THIS DOES NOT MAKE THEM FAILURES! Uninformed and unfortunate maybe but the integrity rests with the management. 2) Covered spots are nice but not always available with every apartment. Even if you do get one, many couples have two cars for multiple careers and someone is usually getting stuck on the curb. 3) I do agree if the neighbors are loud to tell them to cut if off but I've rarely seen such constant lack of consideration like I have here. 4) If you've lived there 2 years, you've heard the helicopters. Granted, I've never heard loud speakers announcing anything but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what they are looking for as they circle overhead. 5) If you offer laundry room availability with your establishment, it should be well maintained, PERIOD! The option to have someone else do your laundry does not make you "Upper Crust" and many people still prefer to do their own laundry. This does not make them "ghetto".

I didn't say she was a failure. However, life would be so much easier if people knew their rights. It is almost unfathomable to me that people live their lives and let problems wash over them without knowing not only how to handle them, but how to avoid them in the first place. And as someone who lived in Long Beach and had the most nightmarish street parking situation imaginable, I have little sympathy for anyone who parks on the streets in SD. Not counting the idiot going 90mph and hitting 9 cars yesterday, cars are for the most part safe here. Very safe. And yes, doing your laundry in an apartment's facilities is ghetto. I'm hardly "upper crust"... I'm not in a mansion, I'm in the Loma Palsades, remember? One person's bad time does not make an entire complex bad. You both fail.
