Yo!

M2i - I love it!

I move here a 1.5 years ago and I love it. I especially love the location and the views - floor to ceiling windows! My condo is a studio which is awesome because it's like having a 1300 square ft bedroom/living room. I didn't think I would like a studio but know I love it!

Residents:
Everyone I've met is very friendly. This building and this area in general is mostly younger people so I feel I fit right in. This is a very dog friendly building/neighborhood so your pooch should have plenty of dogs to play with at the park (in the ballpark). I haven't seen any kids in the building since I moved here so I think its safe to say that its not really a family type condo complex.

Views:
I love the view from my condo which faces north with 180 degree views of the city WITHOUT the obstruction of tall close buildings.

Location:
Location is key! There are several 7/11's, a Albertsons, Longs, etc, all within 4 blocks. I'm also 4 blocks from Gaslamp and 2 blocks from the ballpark. As far as traffic due to the ballpark is concerned, I've had NO issue with it at all. You simply cut two streets over to 8th or park and breeze your way home (most of the time it's not a factor at all and many games pass with very little traffic). It's great to have friends come by before or after games to hangout which happens frequently due to our proximity. There are also great restaurants and bars within a couple of blocks.

Sound:
On very rare occasions I hear my neighbors dogs bark but it's barely audible (I've been in his pad when his dogs bark and they are VERY loud so the fact that I can barely hear them from my condo says a lot for the quality of construction). I'm not noisy too often but when I am I go all out and I've yet to have anyone complain when I blast my stereo at 1 a.m. I once apologized to my neighbor after a late night blaring music and she just giggled and said, "don't worry about it, I just figured you were having a good time." How nice is that! The reality (in my opinion) is that if anyone had a problem they would just say so and that would be that. The only annoying noise is the fire trucks and ambulances coming by (which happens all day) but it's momentary and I've never been woken up by them.

Grounds:
I don't use the gym but they do have a lot of good equiptment.

Negatives
My biggest complaint would be the homeless population of the East Village but they aren't too pushy and mostly stay further east.

I don't like that they gave me a hard time about storing things in my parking spots. I had a clean looking storage bin that I was told to move which seemed dumb to me.

I wish we had a pool or hot tub but I'll live.

Those very minor things aside this place is perfect! Nice neighbors, great views, excellent location.... what else can you ask for'!
