I really liked the blue buildings when I came to look at the apartments. It gave a really mellow feeling to the place. The day after I signed the lease they painted all the buildings yellow.
But that was the least of my concerns after I lived there for a few months. I had them take my rent from my check card every month and I called them a week in advance to let them know that my old card was about to expire and gave them the new expiration date. A week into the next month I get charged a five day late fee because the lady I talked to forgot about it and then called me a liar to my face when I confronted her.
They moved about 12 kids into the 2 bedroom apartment across from me. They had food wrappers all over the lawn in front of their apartment, filthy clothes hanging up all over the patio, they kept their door open all day long and you could see their filthy clothes piled up against the wall and Vons shopping carts all over their living room when you walked by to get to my apartment, and no less than 8 bicycles chained up to the stairwell outside our apartments. It looked like a garage sale all day every day. Not very impressive to whoever your guests. And no matter how much I complained to the management they did nothing. I left my door unlocked (sometimes it happens) and at 3am in the morning one of their friends walked into my apartment, woke me up, and asked me if I knew where his friends lived.
I'm a neat freak and I don't even wear shoes in my apartment. When I moved out they recommended that I use their cleaning lady to clean my apartment so I would get the entire deposit back. I paid the lady $70 to clean my apartment. It looked great. Then they deducted $70 from my deposit to have her redo it because it wasn't clean enough.
The dishwasher flooded out the kitchen and dining area and they replaced it with the ugliest dishwaster I've ever seen. The maintanence guys put a huge gash in the face of it while they were installing it. I can't believe I didn't get charged for it when I moved out.
There's barely enough parking for the tenants. They have guests parking but all the tenants fill it up.
With the exception of Jocelyn, the management staff is rediculously rude. This place is garbage.

I lived in Mariners Cove for 12 years and it certainly had its ups and downs. The first month and a half that we lived there, someone broke in during the night and made off with $600 that I had in the apartment. For 9 of the years that I was there, we had the upstairs neighbors from hell! they were loud, tacky and inconsiderate. Still the location and amenities for that area are hard to beat.
