O.k., I have to say I love this place. I've lived here for 3 years. The office staff is very, very nice and the maintanence does a good job but......but The SECTION 8 people bring this place down sooo much!!

I understand there are single moms and elderly people who are the exeption to the program but there are some people that have lived here for 20 years that have been on the program. It's like they have no ambition in live to succeed.

My neighbor is a dance instructor with about 8 kids in a three bedroom apt. A dance instructor, come on, you should be making decent money, or else get rid of a kid or two and pay normal rent like the rest of us instead of the rest of us paying YOUR RENT.

This could be such a beautiful property(more beautiful then it already is) if AIMCO would get rid of these low class, non tax paying, good for nothing people whom give Section 8 a bad name. Some of these kids whos parents live here on the program are so "thugged out" I can't beleive there address isn't San Quitin, CA.

To the staff of Mariner's Cove, i'm sorry I wrote this but I have been fustrated by the freeloading class for a while, and I know you all think the same thing but just can't say anything.

But overall I will and have recommended this place to others, just look past the people on Section 8.

Discrimination is something we don't do. Any person(s) who pass our screening process which involves a strict criminal & credit background check as well as verifiable 2 year rental history and employment verification is welcome in our community.

If you have a problem with the way the law is written, we suggest contacting your local congressman.

YOU LET YOUR FRIENDS IN FIRST. PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD AND MAY HAVE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH INCOME AND CREDIT GET LEFT OUT!! BUT YOU LET DEAD BEATS IN AS LONG AS THE ALMIGHTY SECTION EIGHT PAYS, DUH!! THAT MEANS YOU ARE PAYING GET REAL AND SMARTEN UP!!

While I agree that quite a few section 8 recipients have no drive or will to succeed... I think that MANY are hard working people such as myself feel a great sense of humility in asking for help. I am the head of a large family. The answer the author of "just read..." would suggest is to "...get rid of a kid or two..."

I wonder if a hard working (employed full time/salaried) family man whom teaches his children manners and accountability would be shunned... simply for receiving section 8. Before anyone assumes anymore ugly stereotypes, my wife and I are married 11 years my oldest is 8 and yes they are all with the same wonderful woman.

I'm sorry but when searching for a new place, I don't know if I could deal with a rude management staff any more than I could a bunch of 'better than thou' Nuevo riche wanna-be's.
