I lived in Mariners Cove 20 years ago, and I had all the same complaints then that I see posted now! The management in the office is rude, and the Section 8 creeps really bring the place down. I had the misfortune of living next door to one of those Section 8 types. She was a single mom (no surprise there) on welfare (no surprise there) who in all likelihood had a meth problem (looked like a tweaker). She was always hitting on me (even though she knew I was married) when I would come home after work. She would just talk and talk and talk, saying nothing of any real substance. One time that I will NEVER forget ---- she is yammering on about some stupid topic and all of a sudden in mid-sentence, she lets out this tremendously loud fart. Rather than ignore it, or perhaps say "excuse me", she takes one hand, fans it across her ass and yells out, "WHEW!!!!". What an animal. There was a couple next door (a couple of --- guys) who would have sex every morning, and the headboard of their bed would be banging on the common wall. My upstairs neighbor would come home every day after work and jerk himself off in front of the window overlooking the Famosa Slough. He moved out and a couple of punk rockers moved in. They kept a great dane dog in their apartment that they never walked -- the dog used to piss and ---- on the patio, which would run off onto my patio and into my barbecue.

Buying a house and moving out of there was the best thing I ever did.

Nice generalizations you are making about people on section 8. Not all people on section 8 are "creeps". Yes it sounds as if you lucked out with a few losers as your neighbors while you were living there. But I am assuming not all of them were on section 8. I have known some very together people that for one reason or another ended up needing assisted housing and not one of them was on welfare or used drugs. For your sake I hope you never end up needing help of any kind because god forbid anyone looks at you as poorly as you look at other people who need a helping hand.

I don't believe this guy for a second. I think what happened with him is that he didn't like the place so he decided to write the most fanciful review EVER! Liars like these really bring down the quality of apartmentratings.com. It is clear he is on a smear campaign.

I lived in Mariners Cove from 1983-95 and I agree that not all of the Section 8 tenants were bad, in fact a small percentage of them really. The troublemakers were usually removed by Lincoln Properties, who at that time controlled the complex. I have noticed in recent years that the character of the Section 8 tenants has deteriorated quite significantly, which is unfortunate to the ones that are law abiding and respectful of their neighbors.
