My Fiance and I moved to this apartment hoping for a safe (controlled entry gates) and relaxing get away. Appearances are great! You drive though and it looks like cute little family friendly neighborhood. After about 1 month of living here however we soon relized our mistake. I constantly felt like I lived in the projects! I understand why they have controlled access gates, to keep the crazy people in! I am CONSTANTLY asking my neighbors to stop smoking weed, partying and screaming at their kids at all hours of the night. There is no air conditioning in these apartments so you have to open a wondow for fresh air. Not the case if your neighbors are pot smokers or constant chain smokers. I'm pregnant and extremely smell sensative so the last thing I need is to come home to an apartment filled with smoke. I have complained numerous times to management and nothing had been done. I finally took it into my own hands and announced out my window everytime I smelled pot, I even went and knocked on their door a couple times. Also, our neighbor lady is ALWAYS yelling at her kids! If you live near the 2nd pool you know what I'm talking about. I got so frusterated with hearing yelling and fighting and seeing the cops at their door that I had to go visit my parents for 2 weeks just to relax. So I am sorry for the rant but something needed to be said. This place I'm sure is nice if you get good neighbors but hell if you don't (the walls are paper thin) and definatly not worth the price in rent (too expensive).
I hope by writing my review it can help someone who truly needs tranquility in their home to stay away from Mariner's Cove.
Thank you

*** I read some reviews and I did not relize this place accepted section 8. We always wondered how they could afford their rent when we hardly saw them ever leaving the house for work! Wow... if we would have known that, we would not have moved in. There was nothing said about accepting section 8! We always stay away from apartments like those :(

Unfortunately Mariners Cove is not a place for tranquility, in fact quite the opposite. It was a far better place ten years ago. Even back then I even survived two burglaries, loud noise, and having a gun pulled on me.
