Getting Better

I previously wrote a review but I wanted to update it becasue things have changed. As a lot of other posters already wrote there is a new manager, who is friendly and actually seems commited to maintaining a nice property (hence, getting rid of the nasty stray cats that the previous manager used to feed).

That being said maintainence is still a nightmare, where you have to put in multiple requests to even get one thing fixed. We put in about 4 requests to have something fixed, and it never was fixed. Water is constantly turned off due to maintence problems or updating or upgrading the pipes. Parking is horrible - no guest parking and the spaces that are available to residents are tiny and difficult to get in and out of (especially if you have a neighbor who doesn't know how to park like we did).

The apartments are decent - old, but in pretty good condition. They seem like they are trying to upgrade them when they can (new tile flooring, new washing machines, new lighting, new paint on patios etc.). However, for the price you could probably find a better deal somewhere else. The price of the one is two bedrooms is crazy for the space given.

True, the building is older, however it is going through renovations now which as you know is a process and the apartments are being updated and upgraded to look more modern. The parking issues are being assessed and addressed so that there will be available overflow and visitor parking in the near future. Parking anywhere in san diego is always going to be a nightmare. Upgrading the plumbing and piping is also being explored. You have to admit that things are moving in a forward and more positive direction, just in the last 6 months the building has improved vastly due to management changes.
