Not my first choice of a place to live

I've lived here three years now. Yes, the new management is better. There is still a lot of room for improvement, though. There are three major maintenance issues with my apartment that I have been asking to have repaired since last summer. They are EXTREMELY slow at getting things done.

The outside areas are looking better, also. Unfortunately, management is either unwilling or unable to spend the $$$ required to really upgrade the property. So instead, we get temporary fixes. All of the external wood at the complex needs to be removed/replaced. There is rotten wood and termite-infested wood everywhere. Simply replacing some boards, and patching holes, is not the long-term solution.

All of the upstairs landings need to be repaired/replaced. When it rains, I have a puddle outside my front door, and at the top of the stairs. That is extremely unsafe. I've been asking to have it repaired for over a year now.

Yes, there is new external lighting; no, they don't replace burned out bulbs timely. You have to ask repeatedly to get them fixed.

I plan on leaving San Diego in the near future, so it's just not worth it to me to bear the expense of moving now. I would not rent this place now if I were looking, however. The rent is excessive for what we get in return.
