i would like to know why cat owners must pay a pet deposit plus pet rent, but there are people with between 20 and 45 snakes that are not required to pay anything extra.

Birds, Fish and Reptiles are welcome as long as they are kept in Aquariums, Cages or Tanks and are maintained in clean and sanitary conditions. These pets don't come in contact with the carpet, flooring,blinds and do not present health issues for present and future residents with fleas. Pet policies are explained prior to anyone moving in and they know that there are extra monthly costs and deposits prior to moving in. That is their choice to have a pet and with any pets running loose on the carpet there is always going to be a risk involving possible damage.
