THIS PLACE DESERVES A BETTER STAFFING AND TOTAL OVERHAUL OF THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS

When we first moved in, we had a good feeling about this place. But as the weeks went by, we started to realize that the staff was mismanaging their work. They have about 5 to 6 persons working there. It seems adequate but it's not what it appears to be. Paperwork is out of control. They harrassed us for not paying on time, when in fact, someone else didn't, but they wrote to us with such demands. This happened several times, not just once. And that's just the beginning. We know that someone on their staff quit because of this. In addition, we found that they hiked our rent almost every six months. And we also know that the management is trying, no, literally throwing out all the persons on Section 8 or rental assistance, by raising their rents to the point they cannot afford the place! Moreover, the noise, the tight parking spaces (resulting in doors denting other cars), car theft is common, street lights almost nonexistent ( you can't hardly see who is in front of you as you leave your vehicle to your aparment complex), and the security 's a joke (we never see them out there doing their job, and when we call them, it's like waiting in line at a busy drive-in burger), and yes like some other people complaining about the alarm going off unexpectedly and for no obvious reasons. And yes, they charge for literally everything including trash and water! We're not saying that you shouldn't move in, but rather saying that this management truly needs to improve their staffing performance and the way they treat the tenants with respect (who pays for their income literally), and improve the place to accomodate everyone and not discriminate those who barely can afford housing through assistance programs. We wonder how they can sleep at night and not feel disgusted looking into a mirror. This just in. We sleep better at night knowing that we're far from the noise and the kind of personel running Mira Monte "homes" and knowing that we are now clearly treated with respect at our new place, we truly call it "our home".

Do not forget that all the people who wrote anything positive about this place actually works for the corporation in charge of Essex Properties which owns that place you call Mira Monte (formerly named Mira Woods Apartments) So, Don't be fooled! This place will grow on you like puss growing out of their mouth (Mira Monte personel)

this apartment complex sounds super ------. I'll be sure to stay away from it. I see too many bad reviews. But, if I may ask, where did you end up moving to? Is it in San Diego? I'm moving to SD in a few months and am looking for good apartments to check out.
