I lived here for two years and during that time my car was hit twice because of poor parking layout. My roommate's car was towed while she was on vacation eventhough she clearly had a parking permit displayed.
We signed a one month extension lease and they changed the end date to N/A after we had signed it so that they could continue to charge us month-to-month. When we tried to move out the manager told us we didn't give a 30 day notice, which we did, and tried to charge us for an additional month's rent. When we tried to get someone to take over out one month lease, they wouldn't let the person we found take it over. Finally, they said they would cut us a deal and only charge us for one week but then they made up some letter saying at the beginning of the month the rent would go up $200 because it was a month-to-month. My roommate and I never received that letter.
Everytime we caught them in a lie or when the staff gave us wrong information they basically said oh well, there is nothing we can do about it and would show us some documentation (sometimes fake) to shut us up.

Write the city attorney. It seems all the apartment complexes in the area are like that. The city attorney will keep a record of this and once enough people complain they will take these -------s to court. You have enough people complaining about the same problem. I don't think you will have a hard time finding enough people to back you on this.
