Though this is a small complex with about 24 units, there always seems to be a sign out front advertising a vacancy. On paper, it should be a great place to live. Great location, gated underground parking, laundry on-site. The closets in the townhouse are nice and spacious.

But the management is extremely cheap. I've never seen such small appliances; they are like toys. The stove in the townhouse can barely fit a pizza. I tower over the tiny refrig/freezer (and I'm only about 5'5). The cabinets are awful crumbling "fauke" -- faux oak. The fan in the bathroom sounds like a jet plane taking off; quiet ones cost more. The bathroom itself is so small the door won't even open all the way. The mini blinds are of the cheapest variety and permanently bend at the slightest touch.

My place had so many problems when I signed the lease, I wanted to cry. They were all supposed to be fixed by the time I actually moved in a week later, but how much was done' ZERO. I swear the carpet wasn't even vacuumed because a thick layer of hair clogged my vacuum for months. There was crud caked in the magnetic strip of the refrig and the cabinets had a permanent sticky feel to them.

The resident manager, who is well into his 80s, seems very nice at first, but he can turn on you. He has one maintenance person who may or may not show up when he's supposed to. They don't follow the rules about notifying you when they're entering your apartment; they just come and go as they please and tell you after the fact!

Another person in the building told me there had been five managers during her residency and he was by far the worst.
