Decent space, quality, but the $ticker price is high for it's cost to benefits

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
My job title is a traveling therapist, so I often "bounce rent free" (my company pays for it)from apt. to apt. approx. every 3 month period. With that said, here's my impression from my stay from my 13 week stay which will obviously limit the scope of this review but should inform potential renters nevertheless.
The good:
1. The walls seems durable, although the sounds do tend to carry from pets, cars, motorcycles, and the kids playing.
2. Probably the best carpet in an apartment that I've visited hands down. For once the carpet fibers do not loosen up with light traffic use. However, I cannot comment per long term as prevously stated.
3. I haven't had any maintence problems, so I cannot comment on the effectiveness of maintence upon malfunctions, nor the staff as the only contact I had was via move-in & out so I'll chaulk that up as a positive.
4. The design is pretty decent, as the interior feels pretty modern & the tiles & carpet feels like it's more durable than some of the places that I've resided at.
5. Wireless internet. If you have WiFi/laptops then you can get on these for free. However, it is often unreliable (may disconnect/reconnect) often & slow (sometimes slower than your 56K/dial up). But hey, it's free.
Mixed bags:
1. Seems like this facility has a lot of kids so they're often making noise when about, and on occassions they will ask if I have a kid that they can hang out with. If you're single, like me, this more family friendly place may not cut it for you, but if you have kids, then this may be a consideration. On a side note, within 2 weeks of moving in, a kid drowned in the pool, as there is no lifeguard present (don't know any apartment that has a lifeguard).
2. Parking. I only have one car & I usually visit friends so I cannot comment on the parking situation. But my impression is that if I ask someone to come over, that may be a somewhat hassle. But they do have an intercom for the visiters at the front gate so they can call you when they need to.
3. Location. scope out the area before checking out the apartment to determine if it's a /-
Now for the Bad:
1. Seems a tad overpriced as I wouldn't pay for the asking price. But that's up to you to figure out the cost to benefit ratio for your needs. Personally, I think they should take approx. 150-200 dollar off asking price then it would be a highly recommended place.
2. Noise levels every now & then if you keep your windows open. But that goes without saying.
3. Seems like they only offer DSL for your internet needs if you don't want to use their wireless setup, so if you don't have a phone line or you want a cable/fiber internet then this may be a problem.
4. I've heard that this place may become more difficult to rent as it's trying to convert more to Condo, so that may affect how long you may be able to stay here.
5. The A/C controls are sometimes inconsistent as it just seems to run lower than what you ask for (I usually place it for 78, but the readings will turn to 72 degrees).
6. Traffic can be a hurdle as the 15 is a stones throw away.
Overall, I was pleased with this apartment as compared to the places that I've stayed in Oceanside, L.A., Tucson(AZ), and Indiana. Hopefully this review will shed some light on what you're looking for. Happy hunting.
