I was considering renting an apartment at Pacific Gardens and put down a deposit for one. Ranica, a member of the management team, told me that I would have three days to shop around and then decide whether or not to commit. My check would remain in the office, uncashed, until then. 24 hours passed and they called me to see if I was going to sign a lease with them. By then my housing situation had changed (I was looking for a three bedroom instead of just two) so I told them I wasn't going to be signing a lease there and would be by to pick up my check. Our friend Ranica had already cashed my check prematurely, and it took weeks for me to get the $125 back from their corporate office. This is unacceptably unprofessional!
