Dishonest Management

I lived at Padre Gardens a little over a year and have experienced nothing but dishonesty, a lack of integrity and intelligence from the management at this complex. If there was better management who valued their tenants, I probably would have continued to live at Padre Gardens. Any problem I may have had with the complex, the manager stated that I contact corporate, however, refused to disclose any contact information. This of course made if difficult to contact corporate. From all the problems I may have had with management, nothing compared to the time of the fires. It was during this time that some friends and family and their dog were staying at my apartment after being dispalced by the fires. One morning a friend decided to take the dog out for a walk when they ran into the manager who stated that no dogs were allowed in the complex. After they explained to the manager their situation, the manager showed no sympathy and stated that they need to place the animal elsewhere and then threatened the tenant, me, with a three day notice if the dog was not removed from the complex. It is situations such as these that have caused me to move-out. I do not recommend Padre Gardens because as I said before, they are dishonest, lack any integrity and intelligence.

It's funny how all of the people come to talk about all of the negative things they percieve when they are the ones who choose not to follow the rules. The ones who seem to expect special treatment such as yourself. The rules are the rules and as a resident who is highly alergic to dogs in any respect I appreciate that the management didn't allow you to bring your friends pets here. It seems that you are just trying to create drama where none really exists. I have lived here and seen them make nothing but improvements to the property. The roofs have been replaced. The office staff is always nice and I have found them to be very imformative and try to work with me when ever I had an issue. It's sad that you wouldn't want to mention how the parking lots look great now and how they improved the gym with new weights. As far as integrity and dishonstey, thats a load of horse pucky. By telling you that you need to obide by the rules in a non pet friendly community, hmm the fact that you signed your lease just like I did, that stated " We do not accept Pets", Then brought a dog in any way has not reflection on your integrity. By any chance did you go down and try to get permission for the dog to be brought onto the property, probably not , becasue you think the rules don't apply to you. As far as I'm conserned.. Bravo Padre for enforcing the rules that we all have to sign.. don't believe his comments they sound like sour grapes for someone who doesn't repsect anyone but himself.

Everything the review said is true. They always pass the buck in order to try to wash their hands of a problem. The management and a pr company writes the ridiculous responses like the ones above. Don't be fooled! Oh & BTW I'm highly allergic to dogs and it would not affect me in the slighest what a person next door is doing. Just as someone making peanut butter sandwiches isn't going to set off asthma in a neighbor allergic to peanuts. It's a specious argument made by the cruel and heartless management who continue to attack everyone even these victims of the fire. This is exactly the treatment you will receive at Padre Gardens.

Um this so not true. I have a dog and live at Padre Gardens. As long as your dog is under about 20lbs, you pick-up after, and keep it leashed, then the office doesn't care. Geez. If you're going to complain, then be real.

Just so every one knows, over this past summer Padre Gardens has begun allowing tenants to have a dog in their unit and only in Bldg C. However, this was not always the case.

For the few people who actually pick up after and CONTROL their dogs general behavior, things are fine between them and the office. But for the large amount of dogs/owners living here that don't fit this category well.... let's just say you need to watch where you step, watch what dogs you pass by, and enjoy the musical banter of rooms with 2 dogs that try and communicate at 80 decibel barks at EVERY persons footsteps they hear walk by. If it wasn't as loud as the parking lot confrontations/conversations that happen, it would be almost serene.....almost...

Padre Garden Apartments are the worst to live in. I had a broken dish washer for over a year and submitted 3 request to replace or fix it. It never happened. Their customer service is the worst I've ever seen, not to mention the office personnel lose documents and blame it on the tenants. Someone above mentioned "repairs" the door knob in the A building has been broken for sometime now and they still havent fixed it. The buzzer is broken as well. so if I had guest to come visit, I couldn't buz them in. I physically had to walk down all those stairs and let them in. When the parking lots were being renovated, they couldn't provide additional or secondary parking for their tenants. For 3 months I had to risk car being towed by parking on the street. PG doesnt even have good repor with the neighboring businesses. There is a big open parking lot next door and they couldn't work out away to park their tenants. Not to mention laundry facilities on the property do not dry the clothes have the time. most of the time I had to double dry my clothes. The carpets in the hallways need to be completely replaced. They look like they've been there since the 70's. These apartments suck!!! you've been warned. Who's idea was it to make the parking lot so small on the eastern side of the property?!?!?!? I swear I witness countless hit and runs...
You've been warned stay far away from this place. Not a tenant friendly environment.
