First of all, the magagement really does keep your money. I do not believe it is legal and I am suprised no one has turned them in. They don't tell you they will keep it in the beginning, but as you are leaving they have you sign a letter with the extra prices! After much persistents, I was told that 98% of the time that no matter how well it is cleaned they will hire a cleaning company anyway. They charged me a price for the aparment that was $200 a month more than they advertised on craiglist. I also was charged for a full apartment painting because the paint on two nail holes would not blend with the rest of the paint in the apartment. This paint also came from them hmmm...and it would not match' I only lived there three weeks and the apartment was in excellent condition. I think 120 dollars for two nail holes is extremely ridiculous. I also was told they would hire a cleaning person at full price if I literally did not wipe some water spots off of the bathroom fixtures! Insane. I was also told a blind would take 99 cents to repair a flap that broke off during the move, and they charged me 24 dollars! The apartment complex is cute but overly crowded. The apartment is VERY hot and they have NO air. I don't care how chilly it is outside, inside IS hot! The dishwasher was tiny and the worst in cleaning, dirty spots and water were always left on the dishes. The clothes washer is so small, it looks smaller than a spare "donut" tire. I think we could fit 4 shirts in it. We could always hear our neighbors stomping, flushing, and screaming. The neighbors above us always had water seeping in the ceiling above our bed. I have no idea what that was. There were snails all over the porch and doorway. THe frequent SPIDER visits were very scary. My kids would find them two or three times a day in their beds, bedroom floor, and bathroom. These were giant brown recluse looking things. The lawn workers woke us every morning at 8 a.m. The living room is very tiny. Our furniture took all of the space and which left us with barely any room to walk. The neighborhood is very crowded and the people drive 20 miles over the speed limit. Watch our for your little ones. The jobs in the area are taken over by illegal immigrants. We spoke to several workes who said that they did not care if they were illegal and that it was normal. They had working ssn numbers that they could buy. Over all it was a HORRIBLE place to live as the management was snotty, the apartment was not worth the $1870 a month, the neighborhood was crazy crowded, jobs were hard to come by, and they kept money the never should have kept.
