Refuse to fix security gate which has been broken for many months

security gate has been broken for many months. Management refuses to fix it and when my neighbors and I put in requests to have it fixed management goes in and cancelles the requests. I find that outrageous. We pay extra for a gated community but we do not have a security gate to protect us. We should certainly get a discount in our monthly rent as long as the gate is broken - I suggest at least $250 discount would be appropriate.
