I'm out as of a couple of weeks ago. First, most of the negative reviews here center on staff. They're a sales staff. Not too bright. Will tell you anything. I was there for a year. Bad experience all the way around. Good luck on using the "showcase" amenities. Think DMV clerks. Really horrendous and sometimes rude management. Second, these places are on the way to becoming a dump. Poor construction and heavy abusive use by a wide mix of tenants is starting to show up. Doors falling off hinges, cheap fixtures, bad carpet designed to be switched out on every move. And the location, in the middle of the hole left by an old sand mine (seriously) pretty much sums it up. If they tell you there are "views" you know the rest of the experience will be a lie too. Summary, stay away. Throwing this kind of money at this dump would be a bizzare way to live. You can find much nicer, with ten times better management almost anywhere else in North County. Good luck! Oh, and forget your deposit. Their standard procedure is to keep 80% of it to pay for the new paint and new carpet they put in every time someone moves. That's a corporate dictate that gambles that most people won't go to court to dispute the confiscation of your deposit.
