Parking is a nightmare because of the stadium being so close, so football games are defintely impossible to leave and come back to get any kind-of parking. I once left my laundry in the dryer, came back and it was gone. I reported it and she all she gave me was a "sorry", the worest situation was buying a 2006 GXS-R 600. I left it parked in my parking spot and less than 48 hours later it was stolen! Turns out after speaking with the San Diego Police Department Prado is one of the "hot spots" to steal crotch rockets, because of the the lack of security and cameras. Please do not rent from here, it's more of a headache more than anything. The elevators often smell badly and there's always trash laying around in the hallways of the complex.

I agree, everyone knows to park a motorcycle in a garage. Crotch Rocket especially. And also, yes this is a hot spot, because of the price of the apartments, The location being in Mission Valley, and the fact that there are 3 different freeways that are located within seconds of the apartment. Your just asking to have something stolen. I would assume that would be common sense. I live here, and have not had a SINGLE problem, in 2 years. And honestly, do your laundry in a open area where anyone can walk in and take what they want, which you clearly knew when you move in, and you don't watch it? If your items were worth anything, I'm sure you'd keep an eye on them. Most people who I've seen doing their laundry here does. It's called being safe. Or maybe not wait longer then you need to, when your clothes are finished. I've seen people take someone else clothing out of the machines because they waited an hour after their laundry was done to come get it. Be a little more responsible next time. You get exactly what you pay for. If you want to live in a gated community with a patrol (which they have here BTW) Move to the Promenade. Where it's twice as expensive as here.
Enjoy!

Wow...why I get the feeling that the anonymous501 response is actually coming from an office personnel (maybe from the manager herself, pretending to be a tenant.) I totally agree with the original poster. Prado management: CHANGE YOUR ATITUDE and do not treat tenants (especially new) like criminals..We just moved in (few days ago) and were welcomed by rude, incompetent with "don't care attitude" leasing staff. We were tricked about the property amenities prior singing a lease, which turned to be non-existing...office trio kept telling lies about the GIM is being fixed, billiard room is being remodeled..but non of them are ready to use and they will not tell you when the work will be done. What a lie! My apartment is noisy and I am already disappointed. How the hell I ended in this hell whole! It is going to be 6 long months..

I think you're right about someone is on here from the office giving excuses about their own management being ------. Also, if they change your dates and so forth of moving because you have military orders but make sure get a copy of it in writing!!! They'll still manage to charge you in the, Yes I agree it's my own fault but I think it's a very shisty business, and suddenly "no one remembers" or "it's not noted anywhere". Needless to say I was in Flordia for 9 days at my new duty station but still getting charged. Oh and when you do move expect a nice fat bill in the mail.

I live in prado for 7 months now. its been okay. Cant really have company over. Even when me and my husband talk in our living room we are told to pipe down from harbor patrol. its insane. My husband's motorcycle got jacked on his birthday. The parking for company is limited. They say they dont allow dogs but i see them all over the place and i think its --------. I think its stupid how we just received a notice about not hanging our towels and clothing on our balconies. what the hell did we pay for than. Everything in the apt is always breaking like the dam blinds, and my sink is always clogged for some reason, and they never have maintenance on task about these things. When we first moved in. we already had a problem with the carpet. its had stains and everything. it was cleaned, but it left it rough like we've rubbed in black charcoal on it.
To new renters. its a nice place to live if your boring, and have no life.. other than that.. its like living in a senior citizen's home
