a very nice place to live

The quietest apartment I've ever lived in (even while a lot of our neighbors have kids) and the view is beautiful. Any problem that has occurred has been addressed in a very timely manner- the trickling shower heads were replaced the day after move-in, the microwave started sparking but was replaced in about 3 days with no charge, and there haven't really been any other problems. The neighbors are friendly outside, quiet when they're in their apartments, and you can rarely hear through the walls (occasionally for a stereo system or loud movie). In a 2br there is a lot of space, the closets are ample, the paint & carpet/flooring are typical rental quality (not anything spectacular), the kitchen is ridiculously tiny with no room for a trash can...but plenty of natural light all over the apartment.
At first the exterior paint colors were nice neutral colors; within 3 months they repainted the whole complex to look like a 24 hour Mexican drive-thru...but left the roofs neutral. Really ugly. This, and the recently constructed exaggerated speed bumps are all I have a problem with. The landscaping is pleasant, even though it doesn't match the botched paint job. It's close to a bike/walking trail which is really convenient, and it's nice to have the nature & trees around. I've lived in worse places in the area that charge similar rates, and this has been the only place worth the rent, by far.
