Riverfront is the worst. They charge high rents and deliver horrific service.

THE MURDER
Yes, there was a murder here. That guy was awful he had everyone frightened just to walk by him in the hallway. When they refused to do anything about him after my 20th complaint I warned them that he would kill somebody and was often scared myself along with being very frightened for my children.

The drapes were always drawn, the patio smelled when you walked by and you were afraid that he would start shooting at his mom, and you would be hit with a stray bullet!

When he finally killed his mother and himself ?? and was in the apartment for days with the bodies decaying ?? the coroner finally showed up along with the news media. My children were home and the police came by. I called the front office and they refused to tell me anything just that I had nothing to worry about. They did not know that but did not want to run the risk of losing tenants. The police had to investigate and told me that all they could say was that there was no forced entry. Management then took the phone off the hook and closed for the day!!!!

The murder was all over the news and newspapers (which is how we finally found out what really happened) and all Fenton did was make sure that the complex nor their names were not mentioned so that their public image would be spared. Yes, there are people living in that apartment and although they said they did ?? they never had any intention to keep that apartment as a model. They are too greedy for that. Families left after that and now they rent to people I would not want to live near, college kids and it appears to be that they accept Section 8 with all the overcrowding they allow in their units.

FIRE ALARMS AND FIRETRUCKS
The fire alarms ring constantly at all hours of the day and night. At first we thought it was the guy that killed himself but even after his death the alarm still rings. If ever there was a real fire people would die due because most people just ignore the alarms.

THE FRAT CLUB
Ever since the trolley stop opened at SDSU this place has become a college haven with beer parties and the fighting that ensues afterwards. You call security and they act like they are afraid themselves. Drunken fights and displays can be heard every Friday and Saturday night!!!!!

POOR MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is awful. They do not respond and when they do try and blame the tenant for whatever dilapidated equipment has gone wrong. They take forever in fixing their repairs and track in with dirty feet and soil your carpeting. Carpeting which should have been replaced prior to your move in but you walk in the first day to a surprise with movers in tow.

MANAGEMENT (FENTON CORPORATE TOO!)
Management is the worst including the Fenton corporate crew. They do not respond when you call them and are nasty and could careless. They promise return calls and do not call back and leave you to their voicemails which they never return those calls either.

The staff are rude, nasty and care for nothing accept the rent they want to get out of you.

PARKING
The parking is awful. I had gang signs scratched into the paint of my car! The security gate has been down for over a month and tied up ghetto style with an orange cord. Oh yes it is really secure.

I would not wish this place on my worse enemy. You have been warned if you move in ?? do so at your own risk of living in hell.

The balconies are decorated with boxes and storage items.

There is no excuse for this type of property management. Instead of advertising that these are luxury condo rentals. They need to state that these are project apartments located in the center of a fashionable area..ie..the reason for the high rent.

The poster who is taking up for this nasty haven is probably management and don??t worry I have gone on about my business. No whining just telling the truth! You should not be locked into a lease when the conditions you are forced to live in are so horrid!!!

Hell??s Escapee

PS?? Free at last!!!!

You have been warned.

2. Find something wrong Likewise, if particular amenities were promised to you upon move-in but have never surfaced (or do not work), their absence is only a factor if you can document your landlord???s claims to provide. Your landlord is legally obligated to provide only what???s in the lease; unless the lease promised specific amenities, you???re not likely to get far by complaining about the absence of such features. Landlords are allowed to change their minds; tenants, sadly, are not (not about keeping the lease, at least). Even if you were promised a swimming pool by next summer and they haven???t cleared the ground for one by mid-June, the lack of the pool is only significant if you can prove its presence was guaranteed in a legally binding way. Don???t expect casual conversations to hold up in court???focus instead on obtaining and understanding
