good place to live

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I rented a unit at this complex due to it's proximity to my work at that time. Just off I-8, it's so close to 805, 163 and 5. It is so close to almost everything- just a little off across the street from Westfied Mall and restaurants, and also very close to Fashion Valley Mall, 24hr Fitness, Lowe's, Ikea, Qualcomm Stadium, Sea World, the airport. I could go on and on.
The apartment complex is nice, three levels on top of the garage. They only had two bedroom/2 bath units with washer and dryer in the unit, pets were allowed. Complex is gated, has a pool, jacuzzi, a small gym. Rent, when I lived there, was lower than other complexes with the same amenities.
I worked nights and am a very light sleeper, so it doesn't take much to wake me up but i'd never had a problem with the noise. I could hear when the tenant above my unit would open her closet (rolling wood door) or when people would pass by in the hallway. There were a lot of college students but it was pretty much quiet after 9pm, or if it wasn't, not enough to annoy me.
I frequently had package delivered and didn't have any problems picking it up at the office, someone was always there.
Management was very quick to respond. I asked for a lightbulb to be replaced and it was done in 10minutes. One late night, around 1030pm, the connection in the water hose in my washer (which I hadn't used in almost a week) got loose and caused flooding, I called the maintenance guy and he was there within five minutes, plumber starting the cleanup within 15minutes, oh and the neighbors came to help too. The response time was quick enough that there was no damage to any of my belongings, they just had to replace the carpet in the hallway
Parking is subterreanean, gated. Each unit is assigned two parking spaces, mostly tandem. This could be a hassle for someone who has roommates. Guest parking is limited and cramped and you have to have a garage opener to get in and out. Hence, the very few parking spots in front of the leasing office, is almost always occupied.
My unit was almost at the end of the complex, quite a distance from my assigned parking. I used a portable, foldable cart to haul my groceries and stuff, there's also an elevator in each building, if you're wondering.
Overall, I was content living in this complex and would recommend it.
