Crazy Rent Hikes

Signature Point is nice in a photo. The truth is the management is not helpful, they are unwilling to compromise, the staff has high turnover, the gates are broken often, the workout room has a broken mirror, the kids on the property trash the computers, tennis courts, BBQ areas, and other public spaces. I have seen 2 vagrants on the property (one sleeping poolside in the early morning and one digging in the recycle bins midday. I reported both instances and the office just laughed it off. I have been here 3.5 years to keep my daughter at Torrey Pines, otherwise we would leave. The rent is increasing each year over $200 per year for 12-month renewal while the quality of service and the experience of living here has declined rapidly. Signature Point does not reward longtime renter loyalty. Michelle Sikes is the manager. She takes an "Its not my fault. I can't help you." attitude toward residents. The property has many, many, many, little noisy kids and people who own little dogs. I pay $2280 now and they want to raise me to $2480 for a 2 bed/2 bath. I just looked at a 4 bed house in San Rafael renting for less than that! There is no consistency in the rate they charge for the same floor plans. My downstairs neighbor has the same plan as me and pays $2100. Explain that!
