Definitely for college students

I have lived at The Plaza for the last year and it has been a mostly pleasant experience. As a grad student at SDSU the location is super convenient to campus (less than a mile) and even better, the complex offers a free shuttle that runs 7am-5pm, Mondays through Fridays right to campus (drop off is at the health services building). The complex is also conveniently located across from a large shopping center that includes a grocery store, fast food restaurants, and a laundry mat.
As you would expect with any property close to a college campus, rent is high and the complex is mostly made up of students.
The complex can be pretty noisy, but not just from loud neighbors. Depending on which side of the building you live on you may hear traffic noise, Effinâs Pub (a local SDSU hangout), or the church music on Sunday mornings. If youâre sensitive to a lot of noise then this is definitely not the complex for you.
As far as management goes, they are very sweet but they treat you like an inexperienced college freshman. For example, expect notes on your door reminding you that the rent is due the week before. In fact, the entire complex has a college residence hall feel and since the building is mostly made up of students, I suppose this is appropriate.
Maintenance-wise, I never had any issues in my apartment. Although, they did have to turn the buildingâs water off quite a few times during the year for emergency plumbing repair.
Parking is fine except if youâre having guests over. There is ZERO guest parking, so your friends will have to park on the street or across in the shopping center lot.
Overall, I have had a pleasant living experience this year. I think the complex is very student-friendly, but I would consider other complexes if youâre not up for living in a dorm-like atmosphere. ď
