Torrey Villas

Surface beauty; pricey From: SDashp72 Date posted: 1/5/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Torrey Villas is nice on the surface. When you take a closer look you will see many flaws. One is the parking. The spaced are too small for even a compact car and there is no assigned parking unless you rent a garage (even they are tight). The grounds (what little there is of them) are very well kept, but the place really is a parking lot for the most part divided into as many spaces as possible without being obscenely stingy. The club house area is very nice, however, but there are many restrictions. The gym is well appointed and is open 24hrs which is probably the only exceptional thing about the place in terms of customer service. Maintenance staff was professional and prompt. The absolute worst thing about the place is the freeway. It adds a tremendous amount of background noise. This is not a good complex for those who like peaceful surroundings. The units closest to Vista Sorrento PKWY may be ok as far as noise. Another major pain for most is access when moving in. Access is difficult except for a few of the first floor units. The hallways are very narrow and make moving large furniture a major inconvenience. Torrey Villas is a great expample of corporate greed.
