I guess I am alone in the whole "college atmosphere is a good place to live.." scenario! I assume it is convenienet to SDSU students, but to all other young, professional, respectful tenants it is completely unrealistic! The unit is spacious... but the bubbling linoleum, bad ventilation & paper-thin walls counteracts that ONE agreeable feature! My boyfriend and I had a neighbor above us that had a revolving door of drug-dealers, loud promiscuous co-eds and all night parties. They might as well have lived with us and saved on the atrocious rent! And management didn't really do anything. "Talk to them" is what I was told. Lotta good that did! Thankfully, they only had a short lease... But I have had about 9 neighbors in my apartments vicinty in the past 1 1/2 years that I've been here. The can't seem to keep ANYBODY. Which isn't surprising considering the shrug-off attitude you get from the office. Marlene in the front office seems to have her good (& bad) days and Jennifer needs to get off her high horse. Maintenance is awesome and always helps. Even on major holidays, they're there! But they can't fix the problems from an older complex (obviously), which I do not fault them for. Not to mention the awful (!!!) parking problem, having a registered sex offender living 2 floors above me and idiots screeching through the parking lot at all hours of the night. We are currently looking to move and I can't wait to be somewhere that has more amenities, is cheaper, and much safer!! If you are young, irresponsible and have someone else's money to spend: this is the place for you. If not: look someone else, preferably far away...

Sorry to hear of your experience. I am currently a resident at Villa Del Sol, and i really have not had any major issues with maintenance nor the office staff. I beleive that you will always have problems anywhere you go. The apartment complex could be brand new or 100 yrs old, im still happy with my choice. thank you

Yeah I agree that Jennifer thing you said...but Marlene seems to know what she's doing and she seems more friendly and not as stuck up as the blonde lady..just my opinion!! Anyway we live here now and all seems to be well so far, hope the maintenance continues to be an A ..they're pretty awesome..The walls are thin but we haven't had a noise problem yet..people are pretty laid back around here and are friendly for the most part..wherever you go you're going to have people having loud sex and especially around here, but nothing is perfect! so far we've enjoyed our stay but we'll see how management and maintenance are 6 months down the road..keep up the good work Nacho and Marlene!!!
