I lived here for a year and a half. Everything seemed incredible at first glance. The management was engaged and interested in what you had to say until you signed the lease. I had a bad fan in our second bathroom that took 6 months for them to replace. After it was replaced they did not bother to even paint over their work. It is an extremely active community at night, which means no sleep, major partying, rude tenants, and a non responsive security and management staff.

The management has no ability to think for themselves and hides behind the words of the thick lease agreement that you signed. For example, they have a policy in which they will not accept payment for your rent more than 5 days in advance (to make it convenient for the book keeper), and your rent is late after the 2nd. Which means you are screwed if your going on vacation for any length of time. I had that happen to me. I attempted to give them a check for the rent on the 3rd and they refused to accept it. They would only take a cashiers check with a $50 late fee despite me having spoke to the management staff prior to going on vacation. The management staff are all robots with no ability to make decisions on their own. This community used to be owned by ING. I cancelled my account with them because the service was so bad here.

While the environment is pretty plush, the noise, management and crap in the grass from the dogs will surely leave you with plenty to be desired. Ohhhh and by the way, don't expect to get your full deposit back. My home had a no shoe wearing policy, we painted the place before we left, and had it cleaned by a maid, replaced the drip pans in the stove, etc... they still kept our over half of our deposit... Because they had to paint the second bathroom. Piece of crap! You can see as you read other reviews that many have been ripped off by Villa Dorado. $100 cleaning fee, $100 carpet fee, $100 painting fee. There is no such thing as standard wear and tear in Villa Dorado Land. If you are seriously thinking about moving here, just know what you are getting into...

Bitter.... Nah... Just never again...
