Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
By far this past month here at Villaggio has been nothing but a humungous headache for me and my husband. Since day one we have experienced nothing but pure frustration. We were told that we would receive a $50 laundry card as an incentive with our move-in-special. I have yet to see that card and when I have inquired I am told that it should be "any day now". Well several days have gone by with no sign of my "free" laundry card. When we first moved here my husband and I noticed that the painting in the apartment didn't look at all completed. We also informed them that all 3 of our sinks leaked badly and were very tough to turn off and on. We filled out a work order and were told that maintenance would be over in 24-48 hours. All that needed to be done was a touch-up paint job in the kitchen and hallway and new sink fixtures were to be installed. About a week later we called to check up on the status of our work order and spoke with Wayne, who directed us to Jordan who pushed us over to Lori. We were upset that no one could give us an answer on when our apartment would be fixed. Finally, last week our walls were painted (as well as a few other household items) My husband's shoe, my dining room table and some decorations that I had on a shelf all were splattered with paint. To say the least we were outraged that maintenance would be so careless! They did replace our sinks, but not without causing the pipes under the kitchen sink to leak and ruin all of our household items that are kept there. Now to shed some light on the parking situation. The carport that was assigned to us was approximately 4 buildings away from our apartment. Just so you can get a visual of this- that's a LONG WALK!! We brought this up to management and were given the additude that it wasn't a big deal and that several tenants walk just as far to their home as well. After trying to compromise for a good week and a half, we are now pleased to say that we have a parking spot right out front of our place. I guess it pays off to stand up for yourself. The last thing I feel the need to bring up is the noise level in our complex. Unfortunately our neighbor's bedroom window is adjacent to our bedroom window. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if she didn't watch Friend's and Seinfeld at full volume. I like to hear laughter but not every 2 minutes. We also seem to have neighbors that have 2-3 dogs that bark at random hours of the day. Not for 5 minutes- more like 20 minutes, it sounds like they're torturing the poor things. I will end this with the advice to continue your search. I love RB but am 100% dissatisfied with the management here at Villaggio. We are very dissapointed in ourselves and are counting the days till our lease is up.
