Just an update, and thank you to the poster of 12/8. Villaggio is in escrow.
I went to the Leasing Office on Sunday and was informed by staff that Villaggio is in escrow until December 20th by temporary office staff. I was told that no other staff was available to speak to me regarding my concerns. There were 6 other people in the office with me, all other residents concerned with the same issue.
We were able to get a few questions unofficially facts.. for what they are worth:
It has not been determined whether all units will be converted to condos or whether some may stay as rentals.
Existing leases will be honored for their current duration. I was also told that if the sale does go through it would take "some time" before any drastic changes were initiated.
I asked if my lease, which will expire in 2 months would be eligible for renewal for 6 months or an annual lease and was told that was "a good question" and that the manager would answer that when she called. Month-to-month leasing is more expensive than longer term 6 months - 2 years.
Since Management was unavailable, names and phone numbers were taken and we were assured we would receive a call from office staff addressing our concerns either Sunday night or Monday morning. I did not receive calls either at home/work and neither did 4 of the 6 people in the office with me. (we exchanged phone numbers to start an information tree)
