During the day the place seems nice enough to live in. If you don't mind the constant screaming of kids playing outside, of course. There are many kids, and they generally congregate and generate much noise. Aside from that, the day time hours aren't that bad. It's often difficult to get the kids to move out of the way when you are trying to park in the oddly positioned "car ports," however.
It takes some time, and practice maneuvering cars into the weirdly angled, tightly packed, parking spaces. If you are lucky enough to find two open spaces (if you have two cars,) take them. It's much easier to park there than in your car port.
At night however, insufficient lighting throughout generates many dark areas. Dark enough to send a shiver up anyone's spine. On top of that, the complex seems to take on a different feel. Imagine cars spinning their wheels, pealing out purposely revving their engines as they leave the premises at about midnight. Noise enhancing mufflers and all. Then again at 1am, 2am, 4am. People using the tennis court at midnight, screaming like drunken fools. Then again at 6am when you are trying to sleep in late on a Saturday morning. Neighbors fighting at 2 in the morning (the police was called on one occasion, but never showed up... although an ambulance did show up eventually,) about god knows what.
When these issues are brought up with the management office, they do nothing about it. They can't really. Come 5pm, they go home. They are not here to witness the nightly beast that haunts all who live here. Why should they care' They make enough money off our rent to live somewhere nicer.
That's all I have to say. If you want to really be frightened, look up June 12th 2004 on SignOnSanDiego.com...
