I have been renting home for a decade, and I found that none of the apartment reviews were actually correct. Usually the one had heck of time and got really misfortuned gave a fair(') review(at least have something to write) on the internet.
I spent almost two years in Village view apartment, and sometimes had troubled time since unexpected knocking by strangers(Many strangers!) through whole night (Because the doors are open to anybody), EAR popping noise from Amature musicians in nearby (Because the rent fee is cheaper than any other complex in UTC all kinds of CRAP living in apartment), really inconvenient public washer/dryer shared with Drunken homeless guys (Homeless guys also need to wash/dry.), But I felt good because I didn't get shot and I did save some fortunes out of it.
If you don't have enough money but expect reasonably OK service, then I can 150% sure that this is the place you should live! Also, if you get along with manager well, then your living quality will be even better than expected. Be nice to your manager and give some gifts to your neighbors.. If you are a nice person then you will have almost no problem to live in here! If you are not a trouble maker then you will be fine with any possible circumstances.So That is upto you!
