I've had nothing but positive experiences with the manager and staff at Mountain View. DJ and Heather have been awesome, so have the maintenance staff. They respond immediately to any problem that comes up and they are all very friendly and helpful. They seem to actually care about the tenants and the complex. They are willing to listen to concerns and respond to them. I'm pretty picky and have high standards (or so my husband tells me) and this is by far the best management we've had at an apartment complex. Beyond the management, the apartments are nice, newly renovated (though you can tell they are older buildings). The owner or management company is investing a lot in improving the interiors and exterior. The pool is always clean and the patio furniture is nice. The apartments are spacious with a good size storage area. My only complaint is that the bathroom is a bit small. Oh, another benefit; the apartments come with a refrigerator. That's hard to find in California.

UPDATE!!!!! SEE THE UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM OF MY RESPONSE THAT BEGINS WITH THE SENTENCE SAYING.. "After I wrote this". You HAVE to know that Sheri wrote the above review!!! Why else would it be a listed review as "anonymous"? Our experience was horrible there too. Mold in bathrooms (they refused to even acknowledge it - I had an inspector test the bathroom himself AND paid for the cost myself... We even called the Health Dept. and THEY spoke with Sheri. One of their maintenance staff privately acknowledged the problem and they poured a chemical down the toilet that in the end only masked the smell. STILL Sheri refused to acknowledge the problem, and refused to even try to smell for themselves!). We didn't use the bathroom for 8 months as we block the bottom of the door with a towel because the sewage odor from the toilet finds its way to and through the drain in the adjoining shower. GROSS!!! Our AC unit leaked water down the middle of the hallway for 11 days! We had buckets lined in the hallway to catch the water. A peeping tom kept peering into our windows CONSTANTLY. After months of Sheri not doing a DARN thing, the guy eventually went psycho and was taken out on a stretcher! Sheri is a nightmare... And poor Kim. She is nice, but there is only so much she can do because she really can't cross Sheri. In the end, we broke lease because of the apartment issues. Sheri needs to go if she hasn't already. Sheri will paint this wonderful picture of how great she is and how great the units are, but a complex that is nearly 40 years old with no necessary upgrades, you have to know you are going to experience big problems. If you like to live in the way that we had to endure and put up with Sheri, by all means... move in and see what happens. If you move in, you WILL have similar problems. And after you are done reading this and all the other reviews and you STILL move in, you can NEVER say you weren't warned. If the review is flagged, it's because Sheri had it removed somehow because she wants to not let it be known not only of the problems with the units, but to attempt to make certain how she is as a person and a manager. After I wrote this, I called the complex. Sheri is GONE!!!!!! Still find another place to live. Take the reviews to heart. Even though Sheri is gone, there is NO WAY they could or will fix the 40 year old problems. They need to make repairs, better screen applicants by setting higher standards of those who they would accepts as tenants. By the way... NEVER DO THEY SUPPLY REFRIGERATORS! THEY DO HOWEVER SUPPLY A GOOD AMOUNT OF BS!

Yea seems like a bs review... When we first moved in.. there was a mouse running around in the bathroom. I knew it was a bad sign. Sherri brushed it off as us leaving our door's open and it's probably someone's pet. Yea people own rats as pets. Not only that, since when did they have refrigerators for the apartment? I had to buy my own!

I don't know who Sheri is; she is not at Mountain View. I signed this review annonymous because I don't want people like you knowing my name. You all have your stories wrong or outdated. Anyone can take a tour of the apartments and see for themselves that they come with refrigerators and that the fixutres are up-to-date. You all don't know what you're talking about.
